Stoppping the spammers

Unfortunately, our forums have been attacked by spammers over the past few days, requiring us to spend considerable time deleting their unwanted posts.

The only way that we can prevent this from happening is to moderate all posts that appear on these forums. So, there will be a short delay from when you submit your topic and when it appears.

I apologise for taking this step, but the mindless acts of a few spoil things for the many.

Regrettably, this newsgroup continues to attract the attention of spammers, who are registering in their dozens every day and then finding out that none of their (unwanted) posts can appear in the is forum without our prior approval.

To get rid of them completely, I'm afraid that we are going to have to increase the security on this forum to prevent unwanted registrations. From now on, all registrations will require approval by us prior to becoming active. If you are a genuine user of this forum, please bear with us while we check your identity and activate your account. We will try to do this as quickly as possible.

To all those spammers who are still trying to get in .. give up, we will not allow you to pollute this space.
