Which key is right for you?

Geocentrix is pleased to offer flexible licensing for all our geotechnical design programs.

ReWaRD, ReActiv, and Repute can now be licensed using USB or parallel-port security keys (dongles) on standalone or network computers.

Network licences offer even greater flexibility

Advantages of a network licence:

• Software can be installed on as many workstations ("clients") as you wish, provided they are connected via a network
• Licences are controlled by a centralised Licence Manager (using software supplied by Geocentrix)
• No need to move the security key to activate a program on a particular workstation
• Enables you to run multiple copies of the same program at the same time (provided you have the necessary number of licences)
• Licence Manager and network security key can be kept under central control (e.g. by your IT department) to avoid potential loss

USB security key

Advantages of a USB key:

• Easy to move from one computer to another (simply plug into any USB socket)
• Ideal for laptop computers that come without a parallel port
• Fit into a pocket or attach to a key ring, for maximum portability (great for out-of-office use)
• No need to daisy-chain with other parallel keys and/or printer cables

Parallel-port security key

Advantages of a parallel-port key:

• Fixed (via screws) to a single computer, so not easily lost
• Ideal for legacy computers that come without a USB port
• Won't interfere with printers despite need to daisy-chain with other parallel keys and/or printer cables
